MCWA Thanks The Chapel

December 13, 2016

MCWA wanted to give The Chapel a big hug of thanks this Christmas with a lunch to the staff. We are so grateful for their donation of office space, as well as their gift of fellowship, love, and support as we interact with the Chapel staff throughout the week.

Christmas at the Chapel

Sue Morrill catered her famous dish, Chicken Roban, as well as salad, bread, and dessert. Scott exhorted the staff with the word, “rejoice.” Just an hour after God told Scott to encourage the staff with this word, he received an email from a friend that today marked almost an entire year of a fellow laborer being imprisoned overseas. No matter what we are all personally going through, whether we are on the top of the mountain or we are struggling in the valley, we are called to rejoice:

“…we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
