MCWA was founded in 1989 to be a beacon of hope and peace in Cameroon. Meskine Hospital was built and opened in 1994, where patients from near and far receive compassionate, competent medical care. On January 1, 2020, the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBC) https://cbchealthservices.org/ received an Unconditional Grant from MCWA of all of the activities and assets of Meskine Hospital and assumed daily operating activities. This donation to CBC provided hospital employees with continued employment and provided patients with continued access to vital health services. Today, the ministry team lives in a centrally-located city for their ongoing church planting and disciple-making activities.

Team members in Cameroon have been supported from the very beginning by a group of like-minded volunteers who serve as the Board of Directors for MCWA. Each one brings unique talents and gifts to MCWA and leads the ministry with servant hearts.
